My Romanian Tokarev pistol arrived and I took possession today.
Not too shabby but the upper and lower numbers are mismatched.
The barrel is serial matched to the slide though.
Grips are original and a thumb safety has been added to the left side just below the slide stop.
It works like a 1911 safety and blocks all trigger movement and works whether the pistol is full cocked or hammer down.
The gun came with a crude flap holster made from thin leather, probably goat or sheep, a cleaning rod, lanyard of pigskin, and a spare magazine.
Both magazines were the looped style and I also ordered two spares which came in with non-loop bases and as new.
If you like Tokarevs you will probably want one of these.
I came up with a couple boxes of Romanian ammo and will shoot this thing when the ice storm subsides.

Eight round .30cal right? I've only seen that gun in Tom Clancy video games. Also Call of duty.

Eight round .30 caliber, correct.
If you want to get all kinds of picky, the cartridge is a 7.62X25 bottleneck, 86grain bullet, lead or steel core at 1150 feet per second roughly.
I happen to like the sound this round makes when fired.

A buddy and I each ordered one. I was so pleased I ordered another.
All matching, and EXCELLENT condition.
(I got no lanyard and an extra mag in one of the boxes though, I trade I'll make ALL day long!)

Get one IF you can (There's not many left)

Sweet looking pistol!

I received two from SOG yesterday. My polish TT-33 was getting lonely.
Mine are both nice but one need the rear sight adjusted (way off).

The safety's look like add ons but are better placed (for me) than the polish or chinese toks I've owned.

AIM surplus has 7.62x25 in 1224 rd spam cans for $109 I got two of those on thursday.

I wish they were C&R guns. I just got my license and that would be a great first purchase. I have long wanted a Tok in 7.62x25. I bought my dad a 9mm Norinco years ago that we still have, but the original caliber holds more appeal to me.

They should qualify for C&R status, mine are both dated 1953.
If they are 50 yrs old they qualify.

You might want to call SOG and check the C&R list.

The gun I remember this best from was called: Vietcong and its follow up sequel VietCong: Purple Haze when you go into the tunnels. I remember the enemy having that gun or the nagant revolver at different points in either the 1st or the sequel; can't remember which since it's been so long since I won the game.

I love mine. It is a 1953 edition of the Romanian TTC. I am thinking of getting the flash suppressor end for it, but that will mean it will no longer fit in the holster. I also just got some non corrosive ammo for it. I do not like shooting the 25+ year old Romanian corrosive ex-mil stuff.

I saw the TTC listed on the C&R website.
