The funny thing is, he'd machine gun his whole family to get elected.

How is murdering your family funny?

This statement is really low road. Pointing out his stupidity is a good thing, I hope we can do this enough to maybe educate people. Accusing him of being willing to murder his family for political gain is disgusting and saying things like this is shameful. How can we expect as a community to gain political steam and convince candidates that they need our support to win when we type away insulting accusations, even in jest, at someone we disagree with? Supporting the RKBA is viewed by most politicians as supporting a bunch of redneck/foil hat wearers. Statements like this do not further our cause.

Anyway, why would anyone vote for someone from a state with more gun law b.s. than California? We have too much.

That really scares me. He seems to want to **** all over the 1st and 2nd amendments...
Saw one clip where he want to force pornography blockers be installed in all new computers...
GPS on child molestors...
This guy scares me more than Obama and Hillary. At least they seem honest in their desires to remove our freedom.

Romney's not stupid, but he's flip flopped on the issues so many times that when he's asked a question he tries to answer in such a way that makes all his flip flops seem reasonable. That's why he comes off as an illogical, brain dead, moron.

Romney is, unfortunately, poised to do very well both in the Iowa & New Hampshire straw polls. He's gambled his warchest on TV time and advertising for these two events and (IMO) will probably win both.
The good news is that his finances are in more trouble than his cash on hand reflects.

"I support the second amendment, but..." is something said by liberals, not Republican nominees.

HAHAHAHAHA. The Republicans just don't say the "but" out loud most of the time. If you thin Republicans are your friends, you got another thing coming.

A recent photo of Romney on the campaign trail!

Your assessment of MR is incorrect and a disservice to true flip-floppers. To say that MR flip-flopped is to imply that he had changed his position on the gun issue at one or more times. This is not the case. He had never changed his view. He had merely exteded himself to appear pro to garner pro votes. (e.g., NRA Life membership, etc.) He is a sheep in wolf's clothing.

Let me get this straight....

He is in favor of Uzi's, M16s and F16's for him but not us. I think his transition to elitist Democrat is now complete. I hope Hillary can defeat him in the primaries. At least she is consistent.

Please sur, please sur may an Uzi too? I promises to be a good bootlicker....

Romney strapped a dog carrier — with the family dog Seamus, an Irish Setter, in it — to the roof of the family station wagon for a twelve hour drive

Now I will admit that I do not like the tendency of dogs to slobber all over me and would not want to share close quarters with one for a long drive. But strapping the pooch to the roof of the car for a 12 hour drive? Irish Setters don't have the brain cells to hold a grudge do they?

Outlaws,
Let me rephrase that:
"I support the second amendment, but..." should be something said by liberals, not Republican nominees.

gezzer:Romney top in NH, only for the MA north liberal transplants.

The sad thing about that is here in southern NH the Mass transplants outnumber everyone else. My house is about 2 miles from the mass bordr, and the last 5 years, half the houses on my block have been moved into by mass people. The kind that yell at parents about what there kid is doing down the street right now (when hes actaully on the other side of the country) or generally sticking their nose in everyone's business telling them how to live and what they should and shouldnt be doing on their property. But when I go further north I feel a little better. I see a hell of a lot of Ron Paul bumper stickers and libertarian leaning people. As far as I'm concerned, the republican party isn't even the republican party anymore.

Romney on the gun issue is a little bit like Schrödinger's cat...just more surreal.

His state on the issue at a given instant depends solely on who is looking at him...
