I've got a Rossi .357 I bought around 1990. Its very S&W-looking, but I can't figure out what frame it is. I've bought a couple of holsters, they've all been sized K/L and have been a little big which makes me think its a K, but the forcing cone is totally round with no flat which makes me think L. Anyway to know for sure(dimensions, etc.)? Its stainless, 4" full underlug barrel, unfluted 6-shot cylinder. Came with finger groove rubber grips and adjustable sights.

J, K, L, N, and X are frame designations for S&W revolvers. They don't apply to Rossi products.

I believe the rossi 6 shot revolvers
are closer in size to the colt's
like the detective special.

My rossi 971 was a snug fit in the
holster for the colt,slightly loose
in the K-frame holster.
