Saw something kinda interesting today; a Rossi .357 with a 3" barrel. I've seen 2" and I've seen 4" and I've seen 6" Rossis, but not a 3-incher.

Anyone got one of these? What's been your experience with it?

Can't say I've seen a .357 with a three inch barrel.

They do have the 3" locally in. 38 special and I've shot one of those.
Overall good gun.

Thanks, DNS.

I did a little digging and saw that Academy Sports was selling them recently for $239 or something. Wish I'd seen that; probably would've bought one. I haven't found any references for any others, yet, so I'd still be interested in hearing from owners...

It should be a model 46103 and I am going to venture a guess you may have seen it at an Academy Sports? I bought one a couple of years ago and had problems with it. I was able to test each one at the store for cylinder lock up and the gap between the forcing cone and the cylinder and picked the best one they had but after getting it, the firing pin kept breaking on me. I had to send it back to Miami 4 times for repairs in about 6 months and finally got rid of it. The great thing is the lifetime warranty and the turn around time for repairs, the bad thing is the number of times mine had to go back. I really like how it felt and it's size but couldn't trust it.

Well, I took a chance on it. $225 out the door (includes a pistol rug, too, oh boy!).

I'll mostly shoot .38s through it. What the heck.

I wanted one but while doing research I found WAY to many post about screws falling out ect. And almost zero positive feedback.

I own an old one

Stainless with a great trigger - was from the old Interarms days. Lock up is solid, timing is good too. I agree with the post about holsters however - it's been tough to find both a good field holster and one that is even somewhat concealable. Love the gun

My M68 was bought new in 1981, .38 special with 3" tube. That thing shoots really well and is well made and finished vs some later early 90s Rossis I owned.

They did make some 3" with a funky compensator on the end in front of the sight for a while in the 90s, remember the ads in Shotgun News. Things were kinda fugly.
