I went to the gun store today just to LOOK. I got this stuck to my hand

These guns were only made for a couple of years and seem to be well regarded.

I also put a hold on a 3" Rossi 44 special with adjustable sights from the same era. A Rossi 720 I believe.

If you're into the whole scopes on handguns I guess this is a pretty slick gun. For me it's an answer to an un-asked question.

... mind you my eyes are still good enough to get by, not excel mind you, with plain iron sights..... :D

I have a scope base that came with my 4" 617 that I never installed, and I could just pop that rail off and use the adjustable sights, but come on, this gun is just begging to be ridiculous! That's the beauty of it.

The bolded "also" suggests more than one action taken. Can we assume that you got suckered into TWO guns today?

If so I doff my beer cap to you in admiration. It's been many years since my one and only two gun day.

Well, I didn't take home two guns today, but they are holding a Rossi 44 special 3" for me. I'll be taking picking it up next week.

Those would have stuck to my hands, too. I'd have grabbed them so fast, the heat would have fused them to my hands.
I've always liked the Cyclops and the 720.

I'm more of a Smith & Wesson and Dan Wesson revolver kind of guy. I've always been a bit leery of Rossi because of their affiliation with Taurus. Not that I have personally had any negative experience with Taurus, but they are sort of accepted in some circles as being a lower quality...regardless, the build quality of this gun and of the 720 I'm picking up next week seem to be very good.

It looks like a black box with a white "x"? That's an odd looking gun! ! ! ! :D

For some reason your linked picture isn't coming thru to me.
Are you viewing it on a work computer? Maybe it has a filter. I have the same problem quite often on my work CPU

Seems to me those ports are in the absolute worst place for that scope.

Yep, I can see it now. No it's not a work computer unless you consider my home 'puter to BE a work 'puter since I'm retired.... :D

That IS a stubby little thing isn't it? Should be handy to have.

I'm also officially envious. Since I got into the whole shooting thing up here more recently and according to our firearm laws I'm not to be trusted with a barrel that is shorter than 105mm/4.2 inch. "They" are afraid that I'd immediately morph into some sort of deranged, drooling baby killer if I were to be granted the right to have a short barrel handgun.....or some such idiocy.

My Cousin bought a Cyclops years ago. We were shooting it, and accuracy started going south. The barrel was unscrewing from the frame. He took it back to the dealer, and found out the barrel threads were right hand, and not the proper left hand. Gun was refunded. I don't know if this was first run production problems or not. I have a Rossi 2" medium frame .357 that has been great, except for a short front sight. Both of these revolvers are Interarms, not Taurus. Taurus will not honor the Interarms lifetime warranty either(ask me how I know)!
