I purchased a Rossi 20ga/.50cal combo.and, even though it shoots great,in both barrel choices,it fouls the action so badly,in .50 cal ml,that it's very difficult to open the action to reload the 209 primer, and doesn't seem top close as tightly as it's supposed to,after the first shot. Can anyone help me figure it out??

Maybe your barrel latch needs to be relieved a little bit because it's too tight to be able to handle the blowback residue from the poorly designed breechplug.
I wouldn't be surprised if the flash hole is too large to contain the blowback residue as with the design of some other popular models.
Lehigh Bullets has designed some custom breech plugs that use a vent liner with a smaller flash hole that helps to contain it. They make one for the H&R but not for the Rossi.
Another company named Precison Rifle Bullets makes a conversion breech plug that contains the blowback by using either primed .25 ACP or .22 Hornet cartridge brass. However they don't offer one for the Rossi either.
Maybe you can wipe the fouling off the contact surfaces between shots by using a moistened hand wipe or something similar. And while sending it in to Rossi to relieve the barrel latch fit may be an option, if your rifle is still relatively new then it should loosen up over time simply due to normal wear.

Thanks, guys! I'll contact the mfgr, and also check ouy the other tips. As I stated, before, this gun shoots great, and hasn't got very much felt recoil,so I'd like to keep it.
