While recently maintaining my Rossi 92 bought in July 2023 I misplaced a carrier screw. I wound up finding it but reached out to Rossi in the interm to buy 1 or 2 replacements. I was told theses parts are "restricted" for purchase and I would have to send my rifle back to Rossi for a $50 bench fee to have the screw installed.
This same screw on my Alaskan Takedown by Chiappa/Taylor's is available to be bought on their website and I've read countless examples of Henry sending similar parts out no charge to their customers.
I wasn't looking for anything I wasn't willing to pay for. Is this policy in effect with any other companies? Really makes me second guess any future Rossi purchases.
