I have this concept for a reload in .327 using Trail Boss as the powder and a lead 0 Buck .320" ball. I don't care about velocity, just accuracy. Do you think the .327 case is too long to be used with this type of powder and projectile and will be very erratic with accuracy?

Supposing it all fits how do you plan on keep the ball from coming out under recoil. Some kind of crimp or will it fit snug enough in the case. Not to comfy with the possibility of pressure problems. If you try it let us know how it works. Seems like it would lead up the barrel pretty fast.

Round balls have been very accurate for me in .357 and .45 Colt. Not much recoil, so very little crimp is needed, Just bring the case mouth back to flush.
Trail Boss should work well. I've used that plus Clays and Unique in round ball loads with good success.
I lube plain round balls in 50/50 liquid alox/mineral spirits.

My best round ball load was a .454 round ball lubed and seated deep (below flush) in the .45 Colt case with 3 grains of Clays. Shot very well out to 50 yards in a single shot carbine.

You're suggesting to press the ball in until it's either flush with or below the case mouth? I have done that using Bullseye in .32 S&W Long and out of a revolver, but not in a Henry .327 rifle.

As long as the TB is not crushed/compressed that should work OK as long as it feeds, though I have not used the TB in round ball loads yet.
Yeah, feeding in a lever rifle... I'd have to leave some of the ball out of the case mouth for better feeding. That would give me more room for more powder.

I seat .310" round balls flush in an un-resized .30-30 case over a 'few grains' of Red Dot, and they are minute of bunny accurate at 40 yards, and I can keep them on a 9" skillet all day at a measured 60 yards...

They load and feed fine in my circa 1912, 26" barreled Marlin 1893...Sound like a .22 Short...

No experience with Trail Boss, but have done basically the same in .357, .38 S&W, and .44 Mag with good results using Red Dot...

You didn't specify a firearm until now. I was just relating what worked for me in a single shot carbine.
For feeding it may have to be out to full length. Even then it may be too short to cycle. Never got them to function in a 357 levergun (1892 clone). For single loading they can be seated deep.
Just don't compress the Trail Boss.

I wonder if you could put one through a .313 bullet sizer (actual 32 cal) to add more bearing surface and an actual crimp point at the edge of the flat. That is aside from wondering why someone would do this.
