I am just curious. Computer is probably not a good choice for cover, plenty of videos on youtube shows that. But I can't find anything on routers/switches. Those enterprise level routers/switches are so heavy.. Maybe they can do better than computers? Anyone has experience with shooting routers/switches?:D:D:D

Density of various internal parts will vary depending on internal placement of those parts and placement of the shot. Generally not a good idea.
What is your backstop like that will capture your bullets after they exit your target?

Mostly hollow on the inside of the box. Now shooting through the fan or a mounted hard drive would be interesting. Hard drive would likely stop one since it is so dense.

I did take a blow torch to a hard drive once.

As a CCNA, I have often dreamed of putting a bullet through some routers but have not tested it. Those things are too darned expensive.

I would imagine shooting one of these at any angle would produce a fair amount of shrapnel, whose path would be unpredictable. Using these things for cover, you'd be hard pressed to escape serious injury whether the bullet got through it or not.
