Anyone know the height of the RRA Detachable carry handle? I know it's designed to be the right height to co-witness when used with an Aimpoint. I am at work and can't measure the height on mine to determine what height mount I need for an optic.

I thought all carry handles were the same height, whatever that is.
They would have to be to work with the standard AR gas block / front sight combo.

It's appx 1 1/2 inches from the top of the rail to the center of the peep on a standard carry handle.

It's probaly "tactical" because of the picatinny rail on top, well, and it's a lower profile I guess.

The rear sight of the RRA tactical carry handle is exactly the same height as the one on a standard carry handle for an A3 upper. If you want to mount an aimpoint on it to co-witness the BUIS in the lower third of the field of view, you will have to use a pretty low profile 30 mm ring. I have this setup on my RRA 6.8 SPC upper and I "like it okay", but it's not my favorite setup. The tactical carry handle is kind of heavy, and I find that prefer a separate mounting platform (such as the Larue Tactical M68 mount) and rear BUIS. Go with what you like and feel most comfortable with though.

It does kinda suck. It not a carry handle either. More like a riser with an odd height and a built-in, non-folding, BUIS.
There's a lot of things you need to buy into if you're going to use that device.
To get a absolute co-witness, you are stuck with some particular aimpoint with a low-mount.
You have to dig on Google but it is there. Instead of helping you, that device seems to lock you in.
