I need some help here, I’m looking at purchasing an RRA upper and I can’t find a real difference between the Standard A4 SS barrel and the National Match A4. Is the only difference the free-float hand guard?

there are several differences.
the sights are different (NM vs regular)
the default twist is different (1/9 vs 1/8 although you can order it either way)
the weight is different (9.8 vs 8.2 lbs)
their accuracy expectation is different (1 vs 3/4 moa)

etc

I was Comparing A4 to A4 ( no rear sights) both with the SS barrels (1/8) So besides the hand guard, whats the difference?

i have no idea what you're talking about then. have you called RRA and asked?

Looks to me like the free float handguards are the difference. They want $50 to add them to the non-cmp version so that puts you at $525 which is $15 cheaper . .I wonder if there's something about that version that would make it non-cmp legal though?

FWIW I've got the NM with the free-floated handguards and wilson stainless barrel and the damn thing is very accurate.

Have a good one,
Dave
