Rubber grips on 66-5 need advice

Hey! guys, I have a set of rosewood grips on the way to replace the factory rubber on my s&w 66-5. What is the best way to remove the rubber grips without hurting them.

What type of grips are they? Uncle Mike's, Hogue? Pachmyer?

These are the S&W factory grips and there are no screws anywhere. Do they just pry off?

Look at the bottom for a screw, I bet they are Hogues.

I had those grips on my 66 but don't remember where the screw is. They were the worst grips I ever used. Shooting .38 Spl hurt my hand.

This might help, Hogue Bantam's do not have a grip screw IIRC.

Interesting!! The 66-5 that I traded away last weekend had Uncle Mikes on it. They were the original grips when it was sold new. I just couldn't warm to the gun, it was perfect in every way, had everything that could be asked for, 3", RB, good sights, functioned flawlessly but I never learned to like it. My 65-1 is a lot easier for me to like.
