I like to use 91% alcohol when cleaning the Glock striker assembly (which has that large plastic thing on the end). Does the rubbing alcohol harm the plastic on the striker assembly? I hope not! :)

Considering alcohol is sold in plastic bottles I'm going to go ahead and say you've got nothing to worry about.

You generally don't get into solubility problems with rubbing alcohol that you do with something like acetone, aka nail polish remover.

Some rubbing alcohols have additives to make it smell better or leave your skin smoother. I would suggest sticking to strictly alcohol/water mixtures.

Nope, you are all set.

The polymer used in Glocks ('Nylon 6', aka: Polyamide-6) is chemically stable against a wide range of solvents and compounds. It has excellent resistance to isopropanol. Have at it.
