You're missing most of the fun of a 10/22. Take the scope off. Find a place in the woods with a good backstop and just shoot cans, shotgun hulls, expired cookies, whatever - clean up when you leave. A 10/22 is a plinker, so plink!

I took mine to the range last weekend to compare with a Stevens 62/Savage 64. Dadgum scope mount on the Ruger worked its way loose so I have to start over.
Nothing but fun!

I feel your pain, that happened to me the second time I took it out!
I have on as well! I love it! I subbed to you on youtube, I will have a video on mine coming up soon and some mods I have done to it.
