Ruger 1959 Single Six Sights and Caliber

Can the fixed sights on an older 1959-1969 Single Six 22 revolver be changed to adjustable sights, such as the Williams sights?

Also are most of these older guns just 22 LR only? How can you tell if there is not a 22 mag cylinder with the gun?

No, not unless you find one of the old Micro adjustable sight kits, which are highly collectible now. I find the old dovetail sights to be about perfect. Even thinking about having a Blackhawk modified to that topstrap style. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

If it's a 1959 model, it would not have been a convertible.

I would just use the revolver for squirrel hunting and informal target shooting/metal spinners.

I may have the opportunity to trade a browning buck mark for a ruger single six 59/60 model without a box.
