CraigC, please take this as constructive...you seem to have a decent depth of knowledge but the way you deliver your message in print form is caustic enough that...whatever your actual point is gets diminished by it.

I just get irritated having to have the same discussions with the same folks, who clearly do not know what they're talking about, over and over again to no avail. Presenting data and facts, only to be rebutted with nothing but unsubstantiated opinion. I really don't know why I bother.

Let me clarify my parameters. Between 80 and 90 percent of shots will be well under 100 yards. I doubt anything would exceed 125 yards. Also, the biggest game this would be used on would be whitetail and maybe hogs.

Go with whatever one you think is cooler, and/or whatever rifle feels better when you shoulder it.

No deer hit with either round inside 100 yards will be able to tell the difference.
