Ditto, Nikon ProStaff BDC, just put one on my '06, super scope so far. Play around with the Spot-On website to match load/bullet/velocity/etc. and see how the reticle works. Short of a $2500 HorusVision, it's a great aid to longer-range aiming.
ahhhh, the 30'06 is available, but the .308 has not shipped from Ruger yet. It is expected any day according to the distributor, and I should have two of the first they get. Mixed emotions glad I am still in early, but I was expecting them to ship today
....I really like what I've seen of the rifle. It looks like an American Tikka at an unbeatable price point. I can't wait to get one in my hands. I too would love to see it available in the 7/08 cartridge(actually I'm a .284 nut, but thats hopeless). The rifle could be offered in .338 Win. and .338 Fed for a north woods big game rifle that carries easily. For an even lighter version a .35 Whelen or the lightest of the lot a .358 Win. (20" barrel?)The rifle with a 20" barrel, in .358 Winchester ought to scale about 6 lbs. even!At the 350 dollar real life pricepoint that would be by far unmatched in the current market.
