I had problems with the slide of my Ruger P95 locking to the rear after empting the magazine today. Did it with 3 different brands of ammo, and it failed every time. Never had a problem with the gun before. After inspection and cleaning, everything looks fine on the gun. Im thinking the problem is with the mags. Now I have been leaving my mags full for 2-3 weeks at a time for a couple of months now because I was told by several people here that its easier on the spring than loadin and unloading. But now it seems that maybe the springs are now giving the slide lock enough upward pressure. I ve been told to pull the spring out of the magazine and stretch it out. Is this a good idea, and if so how can I do it? Also Ive been told to get Wolff springs. Are they better than the ones Ruger uses? All Ruger 9mm pistols use the same mags right? Help please.
