I have an older Mini30 that I'd like to mount with an Aimpoint CompC3 30mm Red Dot sight. One of the complications is that the rear mounting is misaligned and prevents attaching the Ruger rings correctly. The Aimpont appears to need only a single ring and I could use the forward mounting to attach the sight. I know that Ruger makes 30mm rings. Anyone know if I could use the Ruger 30mm ring and the forward mounting woth the Aimpoint sight?

I'd look into mounting the aimpoint forward above the handguard using the ultimak mount or one like it. You can mount he Aimpoint with only one ring, but the Aimpoint ring for this is much beefier than a standard ruger ring. The bearing surface both on the tube and on the gun are longer to promote rigiditiy. I would not trust a single Ruger ring to hold allignment.

I'd second the Ultimak recommendation. You could try the one-Ruger-ring approach, but like usp_fan pointed out, it's probably not beefy enough. Ruger mini's are HARD on scopes (that very heavy bolt carrier slamming around), and looking at how the Ruger rings work, I don't think a single Ruger ring would resist fore-and-aft rocking very well at all. I think it would grip the scope OK, but would probably loosen very quickly at the mount base.

I was afraid the Ruger 30mm ring wouldn't work quite right. The Ultimak looks like the way to go. Thanks!
