I am not sure I like the new wood grips over the OEM grips. What say you?

Normally I am a fan of wood grips. I think the oem grips look slightly better. Not significantly so. Keep an eye out at gun shows and some day you might see a pair that just say wow to you m

I kind of like the wood Luger style ones, but think the OEM black ones with the red Ruger logo look very sharp, and have to go with them.

I like the look of wood grips on the Ruger Mk.II, more so with the thumb rest on one side. Don't have access to my computer right now but will post photos of my factory grips I picked up a few years ago. They look great with the stainless frame.

I traded in the wood grips with thumb shelf on my stainless MK II Competition for a set of ivory-colored plastic grips similar to the black ones you picture. The off-white with stainless looks great and the slimmer grip is nice for my square, short-fingered hands.

My favorite wood grips on my favorite Mk.II. On the other side the grip features checkering and the Ruger medallion.

Please understand the original question was for the wooden grips in the picture. I know there are nicer ones out there. I am specifically asking about the choices in the pictures please. Thanks

That being the case I would definitely go with the checkered wooden pair. They look so much better than the plastic grips Ruger puts on their guns.

Case in point: my Ruger Flattop .44 Special came with the factory plastic stocks; they were so cheap looking that the first thing I did was order a pair of their rosewood grips for it. Nice, but still not what I was looking for. Finally found it with a pair of American Holly grips from Private's Custom Grips. They look and fit perfectly and give my gun the classy finished appearance it deserves.

I wish I could have chosen both! On my stainless I prefer OEM grips, on my blued I prefer wood.

The OEM grips on many versions of the Ruger Mark II/III are wood (including my 6oth Anniversary Mark III Target), so this poll makes no real sense.

Just pick the one you like.

Fishbed77..The two photos on the orginal post was all I asked about. What other MKII pistol have is irrelevant to this discussion. Like you say "Just pick the one you like!" Not a high ranking decision here and no reason to poo poo someone else's thread. It is a matter of preference. I appreciate your time.

Not poo-pooing your thread but clarifying that there are OEM wood Ruger grips available. Maybe you would prefer them.
