Does anyone know if the new vaquero is available in .357 with a 7.5" barrel?

I love the look of the long tube, but am not interested in learning to reload 45LC just to make the gun financially practical to shoot.

Any info is appreciated. :)

I don't think it is but if you are looking for a single action revolver, they do offer the blackhawk in a 6.5" barrel. I love both of mine.

I have a New Vaquero in .357, and to the best of my knowledge, it is only offered in 5.5" and 4.75" (?) barrels.

I agree a 7.5" barrel would be nice but as said above, the current Ruger catalog has only the .45 Colt in the longer barrel. I bought a 5.5" in .357 because like you I wanted something that was affordable when reloading.

If you want one bad enough, they can be done. Simply have it redone by one of the Ruger better gunsmiths

BTW you wouldn't want one and that's why Ruger doesn't make one.

The .45 Colt Ruger (along with other 1873 Colt-like SA revolvers) is noticeably lighter than the similar .357. The OD of the barrel and cylinder are the same, but the bores are smaller. This leaves more steel and more weight. A 7.5" .357 would feel like it has a weighted or bull barrel compared to the .45.
