One cure I found for Ruger #1 inaccuracy...
Is to not beat the living bejeezus out of myself with 2000+fps 405gr .45-70 loads. My flinch has a bad habit of opening up groups.
Went back to the basics today, loading 450gr swaged lead bullets, Crisco lubed, on top of a Wonder Wad, 55gr of FFg, and 5gr of WW231. Groups came back again, nice and tight, voila!
