just messing with the rails and scope mounts on these things. I have the 2.5x Bushnell on the Mini-14 - but, figured I should try 100 yards with the 10/22 first. So, I swapped it out. I used the same Weaver style (I think) rings from my Dad's Remington 760 where the scope came from.

A bit odd the rails that come with the two Rugers won't both accept the Weaver rail. Well, they will I think, but the slots are not the same so I'd have to move one of the rings, so - not a quick disconnect and reconnect.

The rail on the Mini-14 is a Picatinny rail, the one on the 10/22 is Weaver. The slots in the rails are slightly different as is the spacing. You can use the same scope and rings, but will have to move one of the rings on the scope a little so it will line up with the slots. Not really much of a problem since you'd have to re-zero for 2 different rifles anyway.

I was messing with this scope a bit, and cleaned up the ends of the glass with eyeglass cleaner. Much clearer with clean glass. One thing I noted was in messing with the focus and depth of field, I was able to by eye - get it to be on at about 40 yards, and the DOF presents a clear picture out to 100 or more, and up close - 10 feet, it is just a bit fuzzy, so - I set it there and locked the lock ring off, and figure it will just stay there unless I find something different than I would expect when I get it out to the range. Is this generally how a low power 2.5x scope is set up?
