I recently got a stainless P345 with 3 mags. Good gun, but that silly magazine disconnect bothers more. After a lot of Googling all I found to remove it was "cleaning under the rear sight". After that I simply removed the rear sight and was able to remove the magazine disconnect. The task was pretty easy, the most difficult thing about it was putting the spring back in for the loaded chamber indicator.

Now I can dry fire the gun with no mag. The feel of the trigger improved a little bit after removal of the disconnect.

Be sure to keep the parts and reinstall them if you ever decide to sell the gun. It might also be wise to leave a note in the case with the gun noting that the magazine safety has been disabled so that if something happens to you, whoever ends up with the gun has an idea of what to expect.

There are few things more dangerous than a gun equipped with a safety that doesn't work.

Good move taking the mag safety out of the 345. Back when they were first available there were some guns that proved to be unreliable and the problem was the safety wasn't adjusted exactly right. If all is perfectly made the mag safety is pretty transparent...function wise, but it IS one more thing that can malfunction or get out of spec and cause the gun to not work right. Best to have it removed...as I did on mine.:)

I removed the magazine disconnects from my SR series pistols and the trigger improved right away on all of them.

I own two Mark III pistols and the removal of the magazine disconnect from those pistols made takedown and re-assembly far easier. The only pistol I own now that has a magazine disconnect is my SR22 and this is because its removal is anything but trivial.
