Has anyone compared/noticed a difference in the trigger pull between a safety de cocker P345 and the de cocker only model?
The reason I ask is I just picked up a P345 safety model. The DA trigger pull was ok just until it breaks. Just prior to breaking (if that is the correct terminology) it seems to really stiffen up. (Gun is LNIB and only had few rounds through it until I put 150 through it yesterday, I assume it will improve as round count increases)
I have a P90 de cocker only, which is buttery smooth. I swapped the hammer springs just out of curiosity. (both stock 22lbs, but P90 has thousands of rounds through it) There was no negative difference in the P90 with the newer spring. The P345 did improve slightly but seems like it still "hits the wall" just before it breaks. I realize the P90 and P345 are not exactly the same but that got me to wondering if the internals of the de cock only models tend to give a smoother break in the trigger pull.
If this is the case my next question would be if I can convert to a de cock only set up.
(side note I shoot a lot of DA, and actually like DA triggers, I have the Wolff hammer spring pack on order and have "cleaned the rear sight")
Any advice/observations will be appreciated.

A buddy of mine bought a P345, after shooting mine, and his trigger was a good 2# lighter then mine. I think its just manufacturing differences, not decockers Vs. safety models, as both guns were the same. You really cant compare different model guns...

Yes, I agree. I have previously owned two P95s. The trigger on one was better than on the other.

You posted that the P-90, "had thousands of rounds through it". I may be wrong but that could be a lot of the difference you're feeling. I have a .40 caliber P94. When It was new the trigger seemed really hard to me. After about a thousand rounds it smoothed out. I believe Ruger doesn't spend a lot of time on smoothing out the internals so as the pistol is shot and the parts wear in & the trigger should get better.

I went with an SR45, it's trigger is a lot more accuracy friendly. My P345 with safety was just as described and it had about 2000 rounds through it. I put night sights on it, but left the mag safety intact.
