I went back out with the gun yesterday, this time to a friend's house with land and the linear compensator installed. The compensator was a mild disappointment, but that's not the end of the world. I was focusing on some other testing, so the Ruger didn't get the workout I had planned, but it did a great job. At 20-30 yards it was on target and cycled well - even during a 30 round mag dump. Recoil was noticeably less this time. The brass piles up in one spot and doesn't go far. I had one stovepipe extraction again, but I am still trying to burn through my low-powered ammo. I even managed to fire one 147 grain bullet with no issues before it got dark. I still have a more extensive test planned with the heavy bullets.
