I don't have many regrets, but one of them is not picking up a 6" stainless steel security six when I had the chance. The trigger pull was beautiful, and I wish I had put the money down when I had the chance.

The Ruger Six Series revolvers are also an obsession of mine. Following a some of my Sixes:

1)Two 200th year Service Sixes-a blue one chambered in .38 Special and a stainless chambered in .357 Magnum.

2)A late Heavy Barrel Security-Six:

3)Two early 150-series Speed-Sixes-one DA/SA and the other one with a spurless hammer DA only:

4)A stainless 2-3/4" Security-Six:

5)Two early stainless lowback Security-Sixes-one with a 150 s/n prefix and the other with a 151 s/n prefix:

6)This is my NIB "Plum crazy" blue 4" Security-Six-only the frame is fully plum and the back of the hammer as well:

Btw, your review of the Security-Six was very well written and your facts were accurate as well! I enjoyed reading it!:)

They're great revolvers that are just about the perfect size for all around use. I often hear people complain about the size of the factory grips but after trying a few different types I keep coming back to them. They conceal pretty well too I've found.
