Ruger SR9: anyone shoot one?

I shot two examples of the SR9.

Felt very nice in the hand, accurate and reliable too. I want one!

I have one and LOVE it! I paid $450 for mine, which might be kind of high, as it seems all of the shops in my area charge more than a lot of other places.

I love my SR9. It's one of my favorite range guns. 600 rounds and zero issues.
Oh, and it's very accurate too. I got mine from Bud's for $398.00

I had one and got rid of it. Pretty much junk as far as I am concerned. The Glock trigger was hard. The trigger pull was inconsistent. Three of us shot it and couldn't hit a piece of notebook paper with it at 15 yards. Got rid of it and got a BHP. Much happier. I can routinely shoot 1 1/2" groups with my 1911, so it wasn't me. It was the gun.

I have a pre-production model that came with the CRKT knife, and its a great gun for the money, very accurate, fits the hand good and eats anything. I did have to do the recall thing but no big deal.....once I got the shipping box Ruger had it back to me in one week. Free mag, hat and sticker; no harm no foul...........

S391,
Yes it was recalled and frankly, shot better before the recall than after. I sent it in and had the typical mods. the factory did to them. The break was terrible and you could barely keep your shots on a piece of paper. The trigger tension also varied from shot to shot. I called the factory and they told me I wasn't completely releasing the trigger between shots. That was definitely not the case. I was doing slowfire drills and the trigger was completely released between shots. Three of us tried it and none of us could get a descent group. Just chalked it up and went on.

I would love to get one, but why Ruger put a .25 cent trigger on a $400.00 gun is a mystery to me.

The ones I personally checked out at the gun counter felt like Fred Flintstone fabricated the trigger group.

My friend has one and loves it. I tried it at the range and hated it.

Trigger is like pulling through gravel, and grip is near vertical and uncomfortable.

I felt like the quality was poor and it shot average at best.

This is based on one trip to the range with it, and roughly 2 mags through it.
