any ideas on updating the grip on this ? The round trigger guard for some reason to tear beats up my sons finger , it bothers me a bit but bites him pretty good
any idea or experience on grips ?
I have seen the hogue rubber grips but they seem big and bulky
thanks

The Hogue IS big and bulky. I had one that didn’t feel comfortable so I carved, ground and sanded on it (for WAY too long). It’s “ok” now but still too big. I might try the Pacmar one day.

I like the unchecked Altamonts and squared trigger guards. Use the three fingers grip: pinky curled under the butt. Don’t try to make yourself into a Ransom Rest by taking a death grip. Let the gun roll on your palm. Gravity and friction will soak up the recoil.

This is a .357 I swapped into a SBH grip frame. It’s a lot easier to manage like this.
I don’t have a picture of the SBH anymore. Can’t find the pre update uploads. I’ll need to take a new picture.

I have a super Blackhawk hunter model with square trigger guard 7.5 in barrel no finger issues for some reason my 5.5 in super Blackhawk round trigger guard bites the finger

Yup. That’s why I swapped out the round trigger on my BH for the square trigger. I saw one online where the fella put a stainless square guard on a blue 4-5/8” gun. Very cool!
