WEll, I finally got the opportunity to put a few rounds down range on Friday while Mrs. Mike got her hair done.

Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this handgun. It's the 7 1/2"model in .45 LC, blued/color case hardened finish with rosewood grips, purchased at Galyan's for $359. Handsome gun.

Understanding that I'm new to SA revolvers, I found it to be pretty accurate, with a nice trigger, crisp like my Kimber 1911, with a pull of about 4-5 lbs. I have new found respect for those who can fire these things quickly and accurately.

I put 50 rnds of Winchester 250 gr LRN cowboy loads, and 50 rounds of Atlanta Arms 255 gr jacketed SWC and found it shoots to point of aim with either at 10 & 15 yds. Clearly, I need to try at longer distances, as I suspect you can 'reach out and touch' stuff a fair ways out, but I was at a 50' indoor range. Recoil with these loads was tame, about like a .38, and quite manageable. I was grouping into 2-3" at 10 & 15 yds, which isn't too bad for me with a new gun. I expect to get better with practice. It's a fun gun, so that shouldn't be a problem . . .:D

All in all, I quite happy and am looking forward to getting to an outdoor range with some stouter loads. Cowboy gunz is fun!
