Run like a top out of the box?

Only a few didn't. Ones that failed miserably were a Rogak, several Lugers, and a CMP M1 rifle that turned out to have an op rod spring in four pieces. Not all were accurate (I never did figure out how to get either an S&W Sigma 40 or a Colt AA 2000 to hit anything) but they ran OK. So did the M1 when I replaced the spring.

2 Colt ARs, 2 Bushmaster ARs, several assorted AK variants, lots of Glocks, several series 1 Kimbers, 2 Ruger GP-100, 1 SP-101, 1 P-90, and a Mini-14 (which worked, but I still didn't like it), CZ compact 9mm.

Lot more, that is just a few...

Some of us have good luck all the time. If it weren't for bad luck I might not have any luck at all! ;)

Most of the guns I've bought have run right out of the box.

A couple notable ones would be 18 or 19 Makarovs, plus 5 more 9x18 Polish P64 and Hungarian PA63.
(still have 3 Makarovs that I haven't shot yet but I'd put money on their reliability also)
Actually the worst 9x18 is a recently purchased CZ83 and it costs almost three times what the other guns cost.

My 4 Kimbers are also excellent, but one is a tight fitted custom shop job and needed a couple hundred rounds through it.

I bought a Taurus PT 99 AFS recently that has been fed many different types of ammo looking for the most accurate load and it eats everything without a problem.
Not a very accurate pistol though. I don't know why they didn't design it with a barrel bushing.

Beretta 96 Inox

Creepy trigger but I can still hold a tighter group with this pistol than with my Don Williams Bhp or my Para P14-45 ltd.

I have been blessed to own and shoot many guns and the only ones I have had not run right out of the box were Ruger Mini 14, Colt Combat Commander x2, Springfield 1911x2, And a Ruger Gp100 that was slightly out of time.

If I just could get every person to hold and fire my 550 dollar Walther P99 that was thinking about buying a 9mm or 40, Id die happy. That being said I own two. Both worked flawlessly and have never ever jammed once. Maybe because I never put reloaded ammo in. Had 2 dud bullets and have pasted the 5000 mark.

The backstrap (width of the grip) is adjustable, the front sites height, and its the easiest gun I have ever picked up to reload one handed. Plus its very ambiadexterious(both hands sorry cant spell).

THe damn thing comes in so many trigger groups now and they havea compact for conceal carry (my next purchase). To bad people dont have more of these on the market.
