Even IF it can shoot that far you still have to get a shooter capable of shooting that far. Many rifles are limited only by the abilities of the shooter.

Definitely this is a situation where the Coriolis effect comes into play, but like you said most people aren't capable of shooting that far, including me, I still have a hard time reading the wind.
