Depends on where you're hunting
I've always thought the SKS would make a dandy little brush gun, maybe even as good as a short lever action. But if your shots are going to stretch much beyond 100yrds you're pushing the cartridge kinda hard.
The 91/30 is abit difficult to scope, and that safety is a bear to work with, but the cartridge will do everything an '06 will. But I can't imagine swinging one in the brush without the barrel hitting a tree.
