What's cool is that you can get it in 20-round boxes, at least here. So you can find out, yourself, for a few bucks.
I'll have to try some in my Mini-14, but I haven't yet. Works fine in an AR. All of that, of course, is .223, but AFAIK it's made the same way as the 7.62x39.
You won't know til you shoot it. Mini-30s have an occasional problem with Russian ammo due to hard primers--or so I've heard. But, the Russian Tula ammo is as good as the rest of the imported stuff.
