Rust...

I just posted about a safe i just got. I unpacked it and there was a little rust on the bottom corner. Is this bad and does it pose any risk to my firearms?

Clean off the rust and paint it!

Is the rust inside? If so, you may need some form of humidity control in the safe. Dessicant packs work. On the other hand, maybe it's rusted because the safe has been stored closed for a very long time before you got it.

The rust is on the outside. On the corner. Will steel wool work for cleaning it off?

Wipe it with CLP, and call it good.
