Went to Wally world recently & they had RWS 9mm ammo.
So where is this stuff from ?
What does RWS stand for?
Who makes it?

It seems like good stuff so far.
Plenty accurate & cheaper than any other brand Wally had when I was there.

thanks

I have purchased a bunch of it. (black and orange box). The most recent says made in Brazil, but I have also seen Switzerland and Germany on the boxes. It has all been consistant and quality stuff.

Rheinisch-Westfaelische Sprengstoff

Since 1931 the brand has belonged to Dynamit Nobel who also owns Geco, Rottweil, Sinoxid and Sintox.

The translation is approximately Rhineland-Westfall Explosives. As indicated by the above testamonials they shop the name and use outside manufacturers but mantain standards.

I became acquainted with them almost thirty years ago while stationed in Germany. I've never been disappointed either.

I've never shot their centerfire stuff, but I like their rimfire stuff quite a bit. A bit pricey, but really good stuff.

Their ammo is good, but the brass (9mm at least) is a little tight in the primer pocket area. It is the only one that gives me trouble when I use my universal decapper. Primer seating is about like S&B ammo, maybe a little better.
