Come join the RWVA at its home range in Ramseur as we hold the first RWVA Rifle Instructor's Camp - eight full days of concentrated shooting and instruction designed to both improve your shooting and give you the tools to teach others!

We'll begin on Sunday morning, conduct a full two-day Appleseed course of fire, and then turn to issues we wish we could at every Appleseed event, including:

* Full distance zeroing/practice at 200/300/400/500 yards
* Concentrated pop-up/reactive target practice at ranges up to 500 yards
* Target detection/counterdetection
* Range estimation
* Rapid-fire drills
* Snap-fire drills
* Sight pictures, stress management, and the Rifleman (also known as "Scoot & Shoot")

We'll end the course on Friday night - just in time for the newly-minted instructors to run the September Appleseed two-day riflery clinic beginning Saturday morning.

Don't miss it -- eight days of practical rifle fun like nowhere else in the nation!

Dates: August 27 - September 3, 2006
Time: Gates open at 8:30 am, and we'll shoot each day until dark or out of ammo.
Place: Revolutionary War Veterans Association Range, Ramseur, NC
Entry: $200 - incredible!

Extra special deal: We have some limited availability for camping (no electricity/RV hook-ups) on the range available FREE to all prepaid registrants.

For more details, go to http://rwva.blogspot.com/2006/07/rwva-rifle-instructors-camp-ramseur-nc.html or the RWVA Forum at http://www.rwva.org/yabbse.

All skill levels welcome, but remember - all attendees WILL be expected to pass on the Tradition in support of the 2006-2007 Appleseed National Tour.

Scratching my head trying to figure out how to get away that long---again without " moma" beating me. Will certainly be able to drop in to visit at least. Have never been to an Appleseed shoot. Used to fire competively in the Corps but that was a looooong time ago---Hmmm, which end goes boom-lol.
