Hi-ho;

I saw a good deal on NIB model SIG Sauer sigpro 2022 9mmNATO pistol. www.gunsamerica.com I had a few questions about this SIG model;

1) Can the 2022 model be converted from DA/SA to a DA only type trigger format? Does it require a gunsmith? I recall reading about the sigpro line when they first came out. SIG said these models can be switched from DA/SA to DA only. I'm also not sure if the 2022 series has a decock lever either...

2) Can the 2022's mag release be switched on the frame for a left handed shooter? I'm left handed and prefer the mag release to be moved to the right side of the frame. ;) Now I know many pistol shooters use the mag release in the regular way, but I like it moved. Ambi releases are best but I don't own SIG Sauer, :D.

3) Can the 2022 9mmNATO model use .357sig barrels or the .40S&W too? That would be useful. ;)

Please PM me or post reply messages here. This is for the 2022 sigpro only, www.sigsauer.com

Thanks! :D

If you want a DAO Sig get a P250.....

The Sig P2022 is a DA/SA with a decocker

You can go from 40 S&W or 357 Sig tp 9mm but not the other way around.

All Sigs can have their mag release swapped. Get the DVD and you can do it your self.

I don't know the details of how to do this, but direct from SigSauer's web site:

...the SP2022 can easily be converted from a Double-Action/Single-Action to a Double-Action Only configuration through a unique integral fire control unit. ...

Rella's post, SIGsauer.com

Hi Rella;
I checked over www.SIGsauer.com . It states the 2022 model can be converted to DA only. ;)
The website also states that the 9mmNATO models can't be converted to .40 or .357sig but I don't really know why. :rolleyes:

Rusty

BTW; the SIG P250 pistol is nice but the gun shop is selling a P-2022 9mmNATO with SIG night sights for only $450.00, ;).

That is why I am asking about the P-2022 not the P-250....

Conversion kit to DAO will cost you over $50 and you will loose the #1 advantage of the Sig in question.

It is not that it cannot be done but the real question is WHY?

For why 9mm cannot be converted to 40 S&W or .357 Sig it is obivious if you consider the question.
