S&W 1000 Shotgun Disassembly

Can anyone tell me how to get the mag reducer pin and mag follower out of the magazine tube on a 12GA S&W/Mossberg 1000? I've figured everything else out but those two items.

I just picked up a nice 1000 that sadly had the rubber gas piston buffer thingee solvent-melted all the way down the magazine tube.... :banghead:

"It is possible to spring the magazine spring retaining washer out of its detent holes at the front, allowing removal of the spring and follower. Unless necessary for repair, though, this system is best left in place. If removal of the magazine tube is necessary, unscrew the tube retaining nut at the base of the tube, and unscrew the tube from the receiver. The capacity reducing pin, which serves the same purpose as a plug, can be removed by driving it out toward the right."
