They feed federal and winchester well, remington horribly. High velocity works best.

The 15/22 owners forum at another place has many answers to things you havent thought about asking yet.

The gun loves Bulk Federal from Walmart and is decently accurate with it.
Mine shoots great subsonic ammo 1" 3 shot groups at 50 yards and im just starting on that to get it better and too 100 yards.

As stated just never put anything Remington in it.
Great gun, You wont regret it.

An older pic of mine, Its since been updated.

Don't own one, but shot one

yesturday at the range. Gentleman was kind enough to let me run half a mag. We were only 40 ft from the target but it seemed accurate with the CCI ammo he had.

This is just my honest opinion. If you are buying one to supplement your real AR then I can see the benefit. If you just want one because it looks cool I would just buy a Ruger or Marlin autoloader. The 1522 appeared to be all plastic, polymer on the exterior and seemed weak at the butt stock.

At the $500 + or - he paid to outfit the 1522 I personally would buy something else. Different strokes for different folks however.

P.S. To show I'm not biased, I never saw the point of the Ruger charger model either. Get what floats your boat.
