I have a chance to buy a S&W 1905 32/20 Target , 4th Change for about $800.
All #'s match, minor flaking on barrel. Do you all think this is too much. I do know that the 32/20's sometime bring a premium over the 38's.
That sounds like a lot of money to me. But then, I am no expert on prices of collector S&Ws. For that kind of money I would want a pristine example with box.
I'd say the price is much too high. $450 to $500 would be more like it unless this includes the original box, papers and accessories. For some other options and information go to:
Incidentally, I have done business with Jim Supica at Armchair Gun Show/Old Town Station and I recommend him highly. His descriptions are accurate and honest and his prices are reasonable. He is also one of this country's leading Smith & Wesson authorities.
