Hi I'm am interested in one these,I'm speaking of the new polymer snubbie with the laser.
Have these guns had any known problems? Also I have what might seem like an odd question. I've handled quite a few of these guns and when I dry fire them the firing pin does not protrude like other revolvers I've seen.

I've never seen this before but I've seen it on every new bodyguard .38 I've dry fired, and id say at least 7 or 8 of these guns in different gun stores. Is this just a design thing or is it a problem with some of these guns? I ask as the one I'm looking at does this as well thanks for any info on this guys. And P.S. I own an LCR .357 I just thought is try the smith because I leave the LCR for my wife she can handle it with .38's just fine.

The firing pin is mounted in the frame, not on the hammer, and as soon as you release the trigger and let it move forward a spring will retract the firing pin back into the breech. This is normal.

I don't own one but a nearby neighbor (elderly lady) has one with the laser sight and thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread.
