s&w 38's

i have a s&w 38 revolver,nickle with ivory grips.sn#60374 on butt,barrel and cilynder. TM stamp is on right side.the left side is stamped
DEPUTY US MARSHAL
JD GORE LT

also have s&w 38 blued with wood grips.ctg sn#s95621 thanx for any help dating these guns.

s95621 is 1953 or 54 and might be an N frame or Heavy duty, could be worth some $$ Post some pictures.

The other might be around 1900 to 1908, need more info also , 5 or 6 shot and pictures might help.

thank you for the info on these guns.i will send pic's soon.the ivory handled one has a 4 inch brl on the left side of brl it say's s&w special ctg on the frame under the release it reads DEPUTY UD MARSHAL JD GORE LT.on the right side brl the pat # go from march 27 94 to feb 8 06 it is a double action 6 shot. as for the other one beside the serial# the only other # i see is if you open the brl on the frame is the #29766 with a floating w overtop.it has a 5 inch brl.the pat # are on top of brl starting at feb 6 06 till dec 29 14, it is a double action 6 shot as well.thank you for any help.. any idea as to who jd gore might be?
