ok, I have a nickle 39-2, that I have had Packmayr signature wrap-arounds on for years. I am feeling like it is time for a change. I was looking at the Hogues, but, I am haveing trouble deciding what kind of wood & smooth vs check finish I want. I think I like the smooth Coco Bolo or possibly the Rosewood. Any thoughts as to what might look good with the bright finish? As always, pics would be helpful.

thanks,
Steve

yeah ,well...

Yeah, the original were quite nice, Rosewood I htink. Not sure if I still have them, havent seen them since the early '80s.

Can I still get oem grips?

I have four 39-2's. All were purchased new in box, and two of them are nickel.

All four sport Nill's...

I just bought two trade ins from the Meeker county sheriffs office, 39-2s in nickel, 200 even each HAHAHAHAHAA!!!! got such a deal as they only had one mag between them. but 3904 mags fit fine, and they are about 8 bucks each used.

Thanks, fellas...

Best thing about the 39-2...it's not only a classic looker, but it'll shoot the lights out too...
