'Anyone have any experience with these .40 S&W Autos? Problems? A local shop has a 4014 (blued version) in very good condition, w/1-mag for $300.00. This is below "book," given the condition. That leads me to believe that there may be a problem with the series, or the individual gun. Thanks, in advance, for your help...

I have never heard of any problem with the S&W compact .40 autos in general. Possibly, this particular or individual gun might be flawed somehow. However, the 4014 was far less popular (in terms of sales) than the 4013, despite being basically the same gun except for the coloration and the steel in the slide (and cheaper), and I think this is where the bulk of the price reduction comes from.

JLH, that is a great price for a very good pistol. BUY IT! With this said, I prefer the the CS40 but that is just me. Again, BUY IT! Regards, Richard
