Hello, I just bought another 22 cal pistol. It is the S&W 41. I don't have a chance to shoot it yet. How is the model 41 stack against other 22s.. like the Ruger, trailside and the buckmarks? Is there anything I can improve the accuracy of the 41? Is there anything I shouldn't do to the 41?(that might damage it) I am planning to use the boresnake for all the bore cleaning. Also, where can I get magazines for it cheap?? Thanks alot!

I have two SW 2206 .22 pistols (which are excellent); I do not have a 41. But the latter is considered one of the best .22 target pistols and commands a higher price than most of the popular .22 autos. Please give us a report once you shoot the 41.

The 41 is my favorite .22 pistol, I used one for many years in .22 pistol league shooting. It aced out my previous favorite, the High Standard Military 106 because of a more comfortable grip. The accuracy of the gun will exceed yours.

Keep it clean. Can't comment on the boresnake; I always used patches.
Magazines may be hard to find in the first place so cheap may not be possible. Gil Hebard lists them in a parts diagram page for any othe parts you may need (Mine never needed any)

Brass, the model 41 is so much more accurate than you or me that you should worry about your own shooting technique more than the accuracy of the weapon.

When I try it out later on this week I will post a report. I think I am going to shoot some bullseye at 25 yds.

It is my preferred smallbore bullseye pistol.

I've shot one in NROTC pistol tournaments and recreationally with the Purdue Rifle Pistol Club.... it never fails to outperform me...

As long as you keep the springs in good working condition - she will treat you beautifully.:)
