To field strip a M469: Remove magazine and check (twice!) to confirm gun is empty. Place safety in "Fire" (up) position. Pull slide to rear until cut-out at left side is aligned with rounded forward end of slide stop lever; press slide stop lever pin from right to left and remove lever. (Depending on your gun, this may require some coaxing.) Ease slide forward against recoil spring pressure, taking care to catch the hammer as it drops. Remove recoil spring & barrel from slide.
Reassemble in reverse, taking care that the recoil spring guide bushing is caught in the tiny half-moon notch of the barrel. When pulling aseembled slide group to rear, you must depress all three levers (ejector, sear release and firing pin safety) that protrude above the rear of the frame.
As I recall, the biggest differences between the 2nd generation M469 and its 3rd Generation cousin, the M6904, are that the later guns have a smoother trigger linkage, undercut frame at rear of trigger guard, no hook at the front of the trigger guard, different stocks and better sights.
