Does anyone have any info about these guns.... I came across one today at a gunshow and was wondering what would a slightly used one would run for. Any info on these guns would be greatly appreciated.

5903 alloy frame with a 6906 SS slide (3.5" barrel). Short Slide Variant. Holds the standard 15 round mags. Kind of like a hi-cap 6906. From my understanding only 1500 were made in 1990. How much was it going for? They're semi-collectible but I like the TSW's more.

i paid 300 with 2 mags and original box i just liked the looks and feel of it and bought it on a whim....very little wear at all it looks like it was hardly even shot got a little worried as not alot on info was pulled up via blackberry i hope i got a good deal it sure feels like it...maybe i could post some pics today.

Scha-weet deal!

So strictly out of academic curiosity (I have no desire to actually do this), does that mean a 6906 slide assembly will fit on a 5906 lower? Or are there other parts involved?

Awesome price / Awesome gun.

Generally speaking a 6906 slide will fit on a 5906 frame and vice-versa. I have a 5943 with two slides, the original and one from a 6946. It will run with either. As long as the caliber, generation and variation is the same you can swap them out with any modification or extra parts.

Here's a 5943 in outstanding condition that I picked up for $340. When I looked at it in the case I knew that it wasn't common but wasn't sure what it was. I figured that the price was as low as it was due to the fact that it is DAO and they don't sell as well. I'm not sure what advantages the SSV offers, but it was a good find. The two-toned seem to be less common.

Thanks for the info. Don't think I'll pick up a 5906 just to be able to do this -- if anything, the 15-round mags with the grip spacers are cheaper. :D
