With my normal hold on my s&W 6906 my trigger finger hits the frame before the hammer releases. Anyone else put a larger grip, say Hogue rubber or wood on their 6906 to alleviate this problem.

Yes, I have considered it but when I hold the gun in my normal shooting grasp, I don't want to think about moving my finger back, esp. in a SD situation. With all my other semiautos, this is not a problem.. And I have "normal" sized hands.

The 6906 has a pretty thick grip by itself. Sounds like you have too much finger through the trigger.

I have a set of Hogue's on mine, but not because of finger trooubles.

DaBull and Steve in PA have nailed the problem on the head. I've carried/used the 6906 on the job for many years and, long ago, came to the understanding that this pistol does not work well with too much finger wrapped around the trigger. Use less finger and you'll be fine.
