S&W barrel threads?

Will the model 29 barrel theads match up with the S&W 1917 frame threads?

S&W 1917 is:
.975" long shank.
.818" shoulder dia.
.668" thread dia.
36 TPI V-thread.

I haven't got a clue what a Model 29 is, but there is not near as much barrel sticking through the frame at the cylinder gap.
